IGI Diamonds

Established in 1975, the International Gemological Institute (IGI) is an organization that gives certifications to diamonds, colored gemstones, and jewelry. It is the biggest independent gemological laboratory globally. IGI’s headquarters is located in Antwerp, Belgium. Equally important, they have offices in 18 locations worldwide like in Ahmedabad, Bangkok, Cavalese, Chennai, Dubai, and Hong Kong. Also, they have smaller locations in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Los Angeles, Mumbai, New Delhi, and New York City. Moreover, IGI has offices in other cities like Shanghai, Surat, Tel Aviv, Thrissur, Tokyo, and Toronto.

Diamond Report

The IGI offers a variety of services through its laboratories worldwide. It also certifies the widest variety of jewelry, gemstones, and diamonds.

IGI is popular for its extensive and accurate diamond grading assessment of a diamond’s clarity, color, carat weight, and cut based on strict international standards. It uses the latest technology in determining whether the diamond is laboratory grown, naturally mined, or of simulant origin. IGI’s expert graduate gemologists further assess the diamonds in controlled settings so that they can give a more accurate and detailed diamond report.
